Lotus/Kamal Water lilies is a perennial plant that often form dense colonies. The leaves arise on flexible stalks from large thick rhizomes. The leaves are more round than heart-shaped, bright green.The showy, fragrant, solitary flowers are borne at or above the water surface. Each flower has a spiral arrangement of its numerous petals.
Growing beautiful Lotus/Kamal water lilies can be as easy work. NUTRIENTS: ?When new growth begins each season, you should add aquatic fertilizer pellets to the planting pot. Do not place pellets directly against the tuber. Wait until your lotus/Kamal has developed about 6 new leaves before the first feeding. We do not recommend using granular aquatic fertilizer.
